Being a CUPE NS committee member is a great way to learn more about CUPE NS, our principles and goals. Your participation on a committee offers new perspectives to the committee and helps us grow as a union. As a committee member you become both a leader with CUPE NS and within your own local. Plus it’s a great way to meet new people and make new friends!
Now is the time to consider joining a committee, we currently have the following vacancies on CUPE NS committees:
Women’s Committee: One Young Worker vacancy
Pension Committee: One Young Worker vacancy
Global Justice Committee: One Member vacancy & one Young Worker vacancy
Political Action Committee: Two Member vacancies & one Young Worker vacancy
Health and Safety Committee: One Member vacancy & one Young Worker vacancy
Contracting Out and Privatization Committee: One Member vacancy
*Young workers are those members that are 30 years or younger
**Young workers can apply for any seat in a committee (not just the young worker seat)
