CUPE Nova Scotia is proud to support Can Jam’s annual festival, which brings the African Nova Scotian community together in celebration on July 1st, 2025! Organized by the Upper Hammonds Plains Community Land Trust and the Upper Hammonds Plains Community Development Association, this fantastic event has something for everyone! Check out the details below:
Get ready — our annual Can Jam celebration is just around the corner!
We’re kicking things off with an exciting fireworks display on June 30th at 9:00 PM.
Then, join us the next morning, July 1st, for the Can Jam Parade, departing from the corner of Kempt Town Road at 10:00 AM. Everyone is welcome — bring your friends and family!
Basketball Tournament starts at 11:00 AM with both male and female divisions. Cash prizes are up for grabs!

Live music featuring Marcel Symonds, followed by Asia & NuGruv!
