Labour Day is an opportunity to gather in solidarity with other workers and celebrate the many achievements of unions here at home and around the world. CUPE Nova Scotia looks forward to participating in several events around the province this year; the details of which can be found below:
Labour Day Picnic in the Park, hosted by the Cape Breton District Labour Council
12pm – 2:30pm @ Open Hearth Park (Theatre Side), 190 Ferry Street, Sydney
Annapolis Valley Labour Council’s Annual Labour Day Picnic
11am – 2pm @ Kentville Memorial Park, 125 Park Street, Kentville
Halifax Labour Day 2026, hosted by the Halifax-Dartmouth and District Labour Council
11am Rally @ Nova Scotia Labour Board (Summit Place, 1601 Lower Water Street, Halifax), followed by a march to Peace and Friendship Park (Hollis Street, Halifax), where there will be food, drinks, entertainment, a bouncy castle and face painting.
South Shore District Labour Council Family Fun Day
11:30am – 2pm @ Privateer Park, 94 Henry Hensey Drive, Liverpool
