CUPE Nova Scotia is proud to support Can Jam’s annual festival, which brings the African Nova Scotian community together in celebration on July 1st, 2025! Organized by the Upper Hammonds Plains Community Land Trust and the Upper Hammonds Plains Community Development Association, this fantastic event has something for everyone! Check out the details below: Get ready — our annual Can Jam celebration is just around the corner! We’re kicking things off with an exciting fireworks display on June 30th at 9:00 PM. Then, join us the next morning, July 1st, for the Can Jam Parade, departing from the corner of Kempt Town Road at 10:00 AM. Everyone is welcome — bring your friends and family! CUPE Nova Scotia Celebrates Pride Month Events throughout the Province!

CUPE Nova Scotia is excited to be participating in Pride Month events throughout the province! Watch for upcoming posts about each individual event closer to their actual dates. Truro Pride: Saturday, June 28th – Meet at 1 PM at Colchester Legion Stadium. Annapolis Royal Pride: Saturday, July 5th at 1:30 PM – Parade from the Courthouse down St. George Street to Market Square. Halifax Pride: Saturday, July 19th at 12 noon – Meet at the roundabout at Bell Road and Rainnie Drive, follows Cogswell Street, turns right on Duke Street, down to Parade Square to Barrington Street, then Turn left onto Spring Garden Road, then turn left again onto South Park Street, and ends near Sackville Street.
