CUPE Nova Scotia Convention 2026

Save the dates! CUPE Nova Scotia’s 2026 Convention will be held from May 24th-27th at the Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax. Please see the attached convention call below.

The online registration form (which MUST be filled out completely and properly) can be found here. NOTE: Registration is not complete until fees have been paid. If a delegate wishes to participate in the Diversity Caucus and/or the Young Worker Caucus they must self-identify during registration. To vote in your Area Caucus you must specify which Area you work in during registration. Details about these caucuses can be found in Article 5.07 of the CUPE Nova Scotia Constitution.

At past Conventions, Locals have been very kind in donating swag such as pens, pins, notepads, water bottles, etc. Please let Vice-President Nelson Scott (vicepresident@cupens.ca) know if your Local would like to do so again!

We encourage as many Locals as possible to submit Resolutions and Constitutional Amendments (the forms for which can be found included with the convention call below). Resolutions are intended to give the Division Executive Board and its Committees direction in the next term while Constitutional Amendments are designed to improve upon the CUPE Nova Scotia Constitution. We promote a clear language format.

RESOLUTIONS & CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS

  • Resolutions shall be in the hands of the CUPE Nova Scotia Recording Secretary 30 days (April 24th, 2026) prior to the Convention start of May 24th, 2026 as per Article 9:03(a) of the CUPE Nova Scotia Constitution.
  • Constitutional Amendments shall be in the hands of the CUPE Nova Scotia Recording Secretary 60 days (March 24th, 2026) prior to the Convention start of May 24th, 2026 as per Article 9:03(b) of the CUPE Nova Scotia Constitution.
